The Challenge:
A customer requested a 3’’ self-cleaning strainer for sever service use in a corrosive marine environment. The customer required a series of extensive first article tests including a medium weight, grade a shock test per MIL-S-901D.
The Process:
The Tate Andale team designed and developed a cast bronze strainer with a reinforced mounting skirt and a heavy duty 316 stainless steel motor mount to ensure shock test survivability. The team designed the product, built it, and managed the special testing required by the customer.
The Finished Product:
Tate Andale provided the customer with a 3’’ self-cleaning strainer that met all of their severe service requirements.
